Back To School

The main difference is that liters (L) measure the actual internal volume (the capacity) of a bag, whereas size is a classification (e.g., S, M, L) used by certain top brands, like The North Face, to categorize this capacity. For instance, a Small size typically corresponds to ~50L, while a Medium corresponds to ~71L.

For a week-long trip, the Medium (M) size of The North Face Base Camp Duffel, which offers a capacity of 71-90 liters, is the ideal choice. It provides the perfect balance between generous interior storage space and ease of transport.

The The North Face Borealis is one of the most versatile options for everyday use. With a 28-liter capacity, a dedicated laptop compartment for laptops up to 16", organizational pockets, and a comfortable back system, it is ideal for work, university, everyday commutes, and short getaways.

The Borealis and Jester are two popular The North Face backpacks, both with a 28-liter capacity. The Borealis focuses on organization, featuring a dedicated laptop compartment and multiple storage spaces, while the Jester features an external bungee system for additional storage. The choice mainly depends on your needs and how you plan to use the backpack.
